An advanced laser-based biometry system that measures the axial length of the eye and corneal curvature with exceptional precision, providing highly accurate calculations of the appropriate intraocular lens (IOL) power for cataract surgery.
The Contact A-Scan Biometer uses high-frequency ultrasound to measure the axial length of the eye. It is particularly useful for patients with dense or mature cataracts, where optical biometry using laser technology cannot obtain accurate measurements due to poor light penetration.
