The Ophthalmic Special Diagnostics Center provides comprehensive ophthalmic diagnostic services using advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies in conjunction with specialist ophthalmologists' clinical examinations. This integrated approach enhances diagnostic accuracy, enabling more precise detection and evaluation of various eye conditions.

Our services include advanced retinal imaging, such as Fluorescein Angiography (FA) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT/HRA) for identifying retinal diseases, as well as Visual Field Testing for the screening and monitoring of glaucoma and other visual pathway disorders. The center also offers specialized diagnostic services to referring hospitals and healthcare facilities that do not have access to these advanced ophthalmic instruments, supporting accurate diagnosis and appropriate patient management.

Role of the Ophthalmic Special Equipment and Laser Center

The center provides comprehensive diagnostic services using both standard ophthalmic instruments and advanced specialized ophthalmic equipment with high levels of complexity and precision.

These advanced diagnostic technologies support ophthalmologists in the accurate diagnosis, evaluation, and long-term monitoring of eye diseases, enabling effective treatment planning and improved patient care.

Specialized Ophthalmic Diagnostic Services

The center provides comprehensive diagnostic services using advanced ophthalmic equipment, including:

Fundus Photography – Digital retinal imaging for examination and documentation of retinal conditions.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) – High-resolution imaging of the macula and optic nerve for accurate diagnosis and monitoring of eye diseases.

Visual Field Testing – Assessment of peripheral vision to support the diagnosis and follow-up of glaucoma and neurological disorders.

Specular Microscopy – Evaluation of corneal endothelial cell density and morphology for assessing corneal health.

Research and Development

The center conducts research and development by collecting clinical data and statistical information to support analysis, innovation, and the advancement of ophthalmic care.

The center is involved in emerging technologies, including the AI Fundus Project, which aims to enhance retinal disease screening and improve the accuracy of future ophthalmic diagnosis through artificial intelligence.

Academic Services

The center serves as a hub for knowledge dissemination and professional training by organizing the Ophthalmic Technician Training Program.
